Dear Mr. Hawley
I would like to start off by saying thank you for all you have done for me and many of other students/people. If it was not for giving me the opportunity to go up to Bogus I would not of been able to experience the great feeling of being up in the mountains snowboarding. I also owe a BIG thank you to bogus basin and all the generis donators who made it possible for me to experience this. I cant express how much it meant to me to be able to see and enjoy the snowboarding trips. Growing up my family never had money to spare for “fun”; I have always had to share a room with my brother.
I cant remember the last time I was able to spend some time by myself. I love my family, so when I am given chances like this it makes me want to do something to help other families like my own so they too can one day experience something new. Not being able to have the money to enjoy the better things in life is depressing. That is why I was ecstatic when I was able to do something I probably would not of been able to do on my own for many years to come. I wish I could do something in return to the great people and Mr. Hawley for giving me this chance.
Since I do not have money or have the chance to meet any of the people that have helped me so generously I have decided to write this letter to those who I cannot meet in person. If I could I would hug and shake every single one of your hands. You don’t understand how much these past few trips to bogus have meant to me. I will remember moments like this forever and I will cherish them. I am currently looking into programs were I can help out with kids/ families that are in positions like myself. Thanks to programs and kind people like you I have been inspired by you.
Mr. Hawley I wanted to single you out in this letter so I can explain to you what you have done for me means to me. I have been able to see first hand what you do for not only me, but kids all over Frank Church. You go out of your way every day to ask how us the students are doing and how you can help. You are constantly doing something that does not just benefit yourself. You are one of the most unselfish people I have ever met. You have such a big heart and you have begun to wear off onto me making me want to stand up and help others who need it. Thanks to you I have decided to be like you in the sense to were I should always be willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. I have learned a lot from this experience and I am looking forward to the future.
