Helping High serves the approximately 400 students at Frank Church High School, the alternative high school for the entire Boise School District. Nearly all of our students have previously dropped out of high school or been unable to meet the enrollment requirements of other district schools.
Our students face numerous challenges that can be obstacles to school success — such as hunger, parents battling addiction and homelessness. The vast majority of students are from families living in poverty. Many of our students have been diagnosed with conditions such as ADHD, bipolar disorder and depression. Others have been juvenile justice offenders.
Our goal is to help students move toward a brighter future. We want to help them overcome obstacles, stay in school and live successful adult lives.
