Doing nothing was not an option for Jess. As a compassionate adult surrounded every day by young people in crisis, Jess felt compelled to step up and help.
Jess Hawley founded Helping High in 2008 and has been successfully using incentives and contracts in his classroom ever since. The organization has expanded within Frank Church High with the help of the administration, counselors and staff. Tremendous community support from partners that share our passion has made all our work possible.
Jess Hawley has been a devoted teacher of at-risk youth for 13 years. Jess has a BA from the University of Washington and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from BSU. Jess is a member of the Boise Public Schools Education Foundation Board of Directors.
